Customs & Compliance
What is Import Duty?
The customs charge payable on imported goods, based on value and HS code.
Import duty is the customs charge payable when goods enter a country, normally calculated as the customs value (often the CIF value) multiplied by the duty rate for the goods' HS code. Import VAT or GST is then usually charged on the value plus the duty. Use Paddock's landed-cost calculator to estimate the total.
