Customs & Compliance
What is HS Code?
The international product classification code used to set tariffs and rules.
An HS code (Harmonized System code) is a six-digit product classification maintained by the World Customs Organization and used by virtually every country to identify goods for customs. The first two digits are the chapter, the next two the heading, the last two the subheading; countries add further digits for national tariffs. The correct HS code determines duty rates, restrictions and trade statistics.
