What is Gross Weight?
Total weight of goods plus all packaging.
Gross weight is the total weight of the cargo including all packaging, pallets and packing materials — as opposed to net weight, which is the goods alone. It appears on the packing list and bill of lading and feeds into chargeable-weight calculations and vehicle/container weight limits.
