What is Reefer Container?

A reefer is a refrigerated shipping container with an integral cooling unit that maintains a set temperature for perishable or temperature-sensitive cargo such as food, pharmaceuticals and flowers. Reefers draw power on board and at the terminal, and command higher freight and monitoring requirements than dry boxes.
