Shipping & Logistics
What is Freight Forwarder?
An agent that arranges transport, customs and documentation on a shipper's behalf.
A freight forwarder organizes the movement of goods on behalf of importers and exporters without operating the ships or aircraft themselves. They book carrier space, consolidate cargo, prepare transport documents such as the bill of lading, coordinate customs clearance and manage the door-to-door schedule — acting as the single coordinator across an otherwise fragmented logistics chain.
