What is Cubic Meter (CBM)?
The volume measure (length × width × height) used to price LCL freight.
CBM (cubic meter) is the volume of cargo, calculated as length × width × height in meters. It is central to LCL pricing, which charges on whichever is greater — actual weight or volumetric weight derived from CBM. Knowing your total CBM is the first step in choosing between LCL and FCL.
