What is Anti-Dumping Duty?
An extra duty on imports priced below fair value to protect local industry.
An anti-dumping duty is an additional tariff a country imposes on specific imports found to be sold below their fair (home-market) value, where this injures the domestic industry. Rates can be steep and product/country-specific, so they materially affect sourcing decisions for goods like steel, chemicals and tyres.
