Short-distance trucking of a container, typically to or from a port or rail yard.
Drayage is the short-haul road transport of a container between a port or rail terminal and a nearby warehouse, CFS or another terminal. Though short, drayage is a distinct and often congested link in the chain, with its own charges and chassis requirements.
