What is Certificate of Origin (C/O)?
A document certifying the country where goods were produced.
A certificate of origin (C/O) certifies the country in which goods were manufactured or substantially transformed. It is required for customs in many markets and is essential to claim a preferential (reduced) duty rate under a free-trade agreement, where it evidences that the goods meet the agreement's rules of origin.
